Alaska Fly Fishing Lodge Rates and Reservations

Season Rates

The 2026 season rates for our fishing lodge in Alaska are $13,850  per person per week,  group discounts are available for groups of 4 ($350 pp) or more and 10 ($700pp) or more. The package includes all meals, lodging, flies, fishing supplies, transportation between Dillingham and the Lodge, 7 nights and 6 fully guided daily fly out trips from the Royal Coachman Lodge (weather permitting).

The package does not include transportation to Dillingham from Anchorage, personal gear, rods, reels, liquor, King Salmon stamps (if appropriate), fishing license, the possibility of a fuel surcharge (we have had one in 30 years) or gratuities.  We are currently using a charter company for the flight from Anchorage to Dillingham and it is $890 roundtrip (this will be included on your invoice).

We do have a limited amount of gear available for guest use, and offer rod/reel rentals for the week at only $75 per person, and boot rental for $25 per person. You need to get your license online before coming.   We can no longer sell you a paper license at the lodge. Please go to the following link: www.admin.adfg.state.ak.us/buyonline

Deposits and Payment Policy

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm and hold space. We will provisionally hold space for 14 days from the date of booking until deposits are received. Thereafter, we may cancel bookings that are not confirmed by deposit. Deposits and other payments are not refundable, unless space is subsequently filled. If your spot is filled your deposit will be refunded with the value of the new booking (basically if we have to discount your spot to resell it, your refund is reduced by the same discount).  There is a 5% cancellation fee for rebooking your spots.   Guests may transfer deposits or other payments to another person using the same space of the fishing week booked. A final payment of 50% is due 90 days prior to your arrival at our fishing lodge in Alaska.  Receipt of the deposit is acknowledgment that registrant has read and accepts cancellation/refund policy, release of liability document in pretrip package, and risks associated with this trip.   We accept credit cards but will add a 3% handling fee, and ask that final payment is paid by check, or via our ACH invoice.   Please note that ACH invoice scams can occur.  Feel free to call our phone number 406-222-0624, or Pat's cell phone 406-223-3072, or email info@royalcoachmanlodge.com ,  to confirm an invoice link came from our lodge.

Gratuities Guideline

People frequently ask us what is customary to tip? Tips range from 5-20% of your trip price. We recommend 10%-15% of the non discounted rate ($1,385-$2,000 per person 2026 rates), but please feel free to tip more or less in accordance with the quality of service you have received. We believe we have the finest, well seasoned and experienced staff in the business. Our staff works together as a service oriented team, from housekeeping to pilot, to ensure that all our guests have a great Alaskan experience. Each member of the team plays a vital role. Therefore, we pool the tips each week, and divide them evenly amongst the staff.

More detail if you would like it:  At the conclusion of your stay, you will have the opportunity to leave gratuities for the staff. Tips are always greatly appreciated, and they are pooled so that every member of our team—guides, lodge crew, pilots, kitchen staff, and support staff—shares equally in your generosity. We believe this reflects the fact that your experience is the result of a full team effort.  Gratuities are a way to recognize the hard work and dedication of the staff, but they are not an expectation.

While gratuities are entirely discretionary, many guests find it helpful to have some general guidance. A good rule of thumb is to consider a percentage of the non-discounted trip cost of $13,850 in 2026. :

  • 5% – Suggests the crew and lodge fell short of expectations, and there was little effort put toward making your trip enjoyable.
  • 10% – A solid tip that reflects a good experience, but with some areas that could have been improved.
  • 15% – A very generous tip that indicates everything met or exceeded your expectations and the overall experience was excellent.
  • 20% – Represents an outstanding gratuity, given when a trip was truly one of the best experiences of your life and the staff’s hard work and dedication played a major role in making it unforgettable.
We are grateful for any tip you choose to give. Your generosity directly supports the guides and staff who work tirelessly to make your trip safe, comfortable, and memorable. The crew does prefer cash, but check and credit are also accepted.  You can also do a combination of cash, credit card, and/or check.
